Testing

Tests include the following:-

Demonstration grouting tests on the surface to before prove groutability followed by cutting of a bolt into short lengths to show that the cables do not contain cavities and are fully grouted.

Acceptance testing of selected anchors during ground excavation, numbers and frequency of tests to be advised by Principal.

Pull tests of working length of anchor only.

Pull tests of grouted or mechanical end anchorage only.

Training and Safe Work Procedures

Megabolt provides training in the handling, installation, tensioning and grouting of long life cables.

Careful handling is required to prevent damage to the anchor sheathing.

Megabolt provides Safe Working and Installation Guidelines for the workmen in all aspects of the work required.
